What the Press Say........

"The latest design by Loaded Gunn destroyed all comers in Sports 2000 Duratec....and blew the hotly anticipated new March Academy 09R into next week" - Autosport

A one-armed monkey could drive this car. It’s simply incredible – Ben Anderson Autosport

The 2013 season is underway

It has been a long time since we updated our website - sorry, a lot has happened on many fronts.

In Sports2000 Duratec it has been more of the same. We sold the 2010 championship car to Robert Oldershaw who promptly won the 2011 championship after a season long battle with Mike Jenvey finishing on equal points and needing an MSA ruling to break the tie.

In 2012 Mike Jenvey got his own back taking a convincing championship win making it four Gunn championships on the trot so many thanks to Mike, Neil and Robert for flying the flag.

For 2013 we have set ourselves some new challenges. We shall be running a pair of Sports2000 Duratecs but also branching out more seriously into the historic scene. We already have a Chevron B19 but we have added a B8 and an FIA MGB. The B8 was a stroke of luck that happens once in a lifetime if you are lucky - it came up in a chance conversation HERE. The MGB was sitting in the corner of a workshop nearing completion when we collected a gearbox for a friend so we just bought it.

I am racing the B19 in the HSCC's Martini Trophy and the MGB in the Guards. Gary has turned the five boxes of bits into a beautiful B8 and we have lent it to Neil "Sparky" Burroughs to race in the Guards also.

Neil, Gary and Andy braved the wind and snow to compete in the HSCC season opener at Donington Park where Neil qualified third and finished third. In between he went in the gravel trap at Redgate at the start and charged back from dead last, he also managed a spin at the Old Hairpin so we were very pleased with the car's first race for 42 years.

Easter saw us at the "new" historic meeting at Thruxton where Neil put the B8 on pole and won by 45 seconds. I managed two class wins in the Martini but there were only two cars in the class in race one and the other one didn't start race two. I was second in class in the MGB with fastest lap, beaten by my best mate, Steve Mills - next time....

Neil plans to do a full season in the B8 so please keep an eye on our new Loaded Gunn Facebook page.

Come and say hello if you see us in the paddock.
