Welcome to Dauntsey Park Eventing
When Charlton Park Horse Trials were given notice that October 2007 would be the last running at that venue, we were all dismayed. Charlton had just taken on Eric Winter as Course Designer and there were ambitious plans to expand the event. And then came Beanie Sturgis with the news that the Sturgis family were keen to re-launch the famous Dauntsey Park Horse Trials. What a fortuitous occurrence. Most importantly, we hoped that this new event will fill what would have been a big gap in the Eventing Calendar.

Sturgis are the Joint Organisers. You will see from the website how the
whole Sturgis Clan are involved in the preparation for and the running
of the Event. Water crossing of the River Avon and it's associated jumps
were a notable feature of the old Dauntsey and two new river crossings
were created in 2008 . Eric Winter designed two new courses at Novice
and Pre-Novice level and all the necessary ground work was undertaken
before the 2008 summer wet weather.
Dauntsey Park 2008 & 2009 were extremely well received by riders and spectators alike & we are pleased so many have entered to date. With entries closing on 11th September it is likely that we will again have a full field and exceptional Eventing
Dauntsey Park 2010 will be 1 - 3rd October - so make a diary note now....

Trials. The making of an entry constitutes acceptance of those rules.
